Personal Projects:
Fiona McGregor made a cotehardie and Middle Eastern garb, is learning Middle Eastern dance and drum, and practicing calligraphy.
Constance Grey helped another member pattern and sew a cotehardie and made one for herself. She also made a banner for Mistress Therica, planned food for an Ayreton Christmas party, and is planning feast for our March event.
Jonathon Osprey wrote singable translations of several songs from the Carmina Burana. He also continues to teach songs, games, and dances.
Bojegei has continued playing with wine. She is researching Mongolian lammelar with a friend and hopes to start construction soon. She has also held 2 armoring sessions at her house and made a new shield.
Seonaid Sinclair made herself an Italian Ren. dress (it’s lovely). She also made a delicious strawberry cordial (her 1st!) and is now working on a new batch, and has been dabbling with celtic knotwork and illumination.
Christian Fournier is singing with the Pippins and learning bodhran and recorder. He also is researching period fencing manuscripts like Di Grassi and Saviolo, and hopes to produce new publications of some soon.
Mary McIntosh taught two classes at Tre-Girt-Sea’s Music and Dance event Oct. 2; the class on Period Celtic Music was especially well attended.
Andra and I co-taught a class at the same event covering music from 1600-900 A.D. in an hour & half (we ran over into lunch), and I taught a class on music modes. I‘ve been making springerle cookies and researching other types of molded/printed cookies, and continue directing Trés Trepei.
